About the The Hub at Westhoughton

Westhoughton Vision took responsibility for the building in 2017, and went on to form the The Hub at Westhoughton. With the support of the local councillors, Bolton Council and community volunteers. The Hub has blossomed into an amazing space for Westhoughton residents. The aim was to save the building, provide a vibrant and useful space for activities and to be inclusive. With this is mind, we aim our events and activities at different age groups and in different areas.

Such as, coding, art classes, support groups for seniors, yoga and chair pilates.

The project led by an experienced community focused lead and a small committee, have created a fun and diverse community hub for everyone. The Hub at Westhoughton has many rooms and spaces which are also available for hire for classes and activities. Everyone involved has worked hard to get us to where we are now. We appreciate how much time and help people have invested into The Hub at Westhoughton. And as a result our first year has proved to be a great success. Yet, we are always on the lookout for different classes and ideas to add to our listings. So if you have an idea which you wish to bring to us here at the The Hub at Westhoughton then please get in touch. After all, this space is for you to use and enjoy.

Some of the latest projects at The Hub at Westhoughton.

Our qualified Computer Science teacher hosts Minecraft and Roblox coding classes each week. The classes are suitable for children over the age of 6, they are very fun and informative. Although it may be difficult to understand at first. By focusing on key coding practices and working together to achieve set goals. The children learn valuable coding skills and how to work and socialise with others. Again, these are key skills which children can use in their day to day lives.

More projects which we currently run…

The Creation Station hold weekly classes and parties for different age groups. For pre-crawling babies Tiny Treasures would be the best class to attend. Babies aged 6 to 15 months would be most suited to Baby Discover which will inspire you and your baby. You will create treasured memories, keepsakes and friendships. For children 15 months to 5 years old, Little Explorers will be the perfect class. Family fun classes are perfect for mixed aged groups of children.
